After these two weeks of finding out what outdoor adventure was going to be all about I was honestly shocked. I had heard it was going to be a fun class, but I had absolutely no idea that we would be doing so many "heavy duty" activities. My favorite part about the class so far would definately have to be the team building aspect simply because last year I was in weights and we played games every once in a while. All the other times I just sat around in the weight room and waited to get yelled at to do something. My least favorite part of the class so far is probably the cardio days. I totally get that its important I just really hate running like a lot.(unless I'm running out anger But otherwise im excited to climb and all that good stuff.

I think this class is going to be very interesting. From what I've heard about this class, I heard it is supposed to be fun, but you also really learn a lot about yourself and others at the same time. So, even though it has only been two weeks into the class, it seems to me that we are really going to grow as people through the various tasks, frustrations, etc. that we experience. One thing I really like about the class is definitely team building. I like how we are expected to value everyone's opinions and the concept that we will have to eventually trust each other enough to get through each task together. I feel like a lot of things these days are highly competitive and it can bring out some different sides to people, so I really like that in the class, we are considered more as equals(since we all have to help each other and the only way you succeed is if Everyone succeeds). My least favorite part is also the cardio days because like Kathryn, I also do not enjoying running. (Also, our group never rolled 6's. We usually rolled all the intense cardio ones while some groups got to walk a lot.) But, I can understand how this will factor in long term-wise and how it will help us.

My first impression was that I probably wouldn't trust anyone with my life because I don't know anyone that well. But after hearing about where we will be in May, I am positive that will change. I like meeting everyone and realizing that we have more in common than we think we do. I am uber excited for climbing despite the fact that I'm kind of scared. Not to be a negative nancy but I was surprised at how well everyone has been getting along and how "running" laps can be less painful when you have someone "running" them with you even when you get a 3. I can't really say that I dislike anything yet because I haven't been in the class long enough to say that I do.

After the first two weeks, my first impression of this class was completely different than what I thought it was going to be. So far, outdoor adventure appears to be very team orientated as well as physically challenging. My favorite aspect of this class is meeting new people and becoming closer with people I have never had the chance to talk to. I enjoy the interviews because they allow us to venture out of our comfort zones and learn about others. It seems like this class will help us improve our team building skills. So far, there is nothing I dislike about this class. I do not mind cardio days as long as they aren't too intense. Overall, I believe outdoor adventure will help us grow as a team to overcome the challenges we may encounter.

From what I heard about the class at first was that it was supposed to be a fun class. My first impression after hearing all the team building stuff we would be doing was kind of resentful, only because I felt mostly that team-building activities ended usually in frustration and rarely in great success or a feeling of accomplishment. But now after two weeks, I realize that in this class, it's different, and there's not really room for failure or quitting because nobody can be left behind or be excluded when we're all on top of a mountain, and that in the end, sooner or later, it'll be a success. It turns out that I like the team building stuff that we do, and the activities in general; they're pretty fun so far. I also like seeing examples of where we'll be in May, and I'm excited to start climbing and doing stuff like that. There's not really anything I dislike at this point, except maybe how hot the gym has been recently. I think by the end of the year, we'll all change a great amount and grow much closer as a class, having to overcome any obstacles along the way together.

My first impressin of the class is completely different than what I originally expected. This class focueses more on team building and openness than any other gym class I have taken before. It's called "Outdoor Adventure" but it seems that we will be learning more than just how to climb rocks. I have liked the interviews we have been doing in class because they made me get to know a lot of new people and interesting people. I like how in those interviews people were very honest about themselves. I also like the teambuilding activity we did because it shows how we might have to think differently than we did before to succeed in a certain situation. The only thing I am not as thrilled about is the cardio, but I realize it is important and as long as it does not become too crazy, I think I'll be fine with it. I'm looking forward to a year of coming together as a gym class.

I had heard great things about this class in the past, and originally, I was just glad that it involved no swimming. However, now that I've heard in greater detail what this class entails, I'm actually really excited. Team building is always a good time and I do honestly believe that it makes people closer, or at the very least, ensures that we all know one another. I also think it will cool to know how to rock climb. Like a lot of other people, the only thing I'm really not looking forward to is the cardio. I hate it and I'm really bad at it. But it's okay, because I'm sure it's worse in other classes. !

Before I signed up for this class, I was told it was a lot of fun and a great experience. Sofar, I think that this class is and is going to be a lot of fun! This class isn't like the others. I like the teambuilding and I like how instead of playing the common sports like basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc., we get to rock climb, meet new people, and actually get positive things out of the class. There isn't anything I dislike about the class yet. It has only been 2 weeks and we haven't done much so there isn't anything to dislike. I don't mind the cardio and I think it is important to get to know everyone in the class. Im looking forward to the rest of the year.

After the first two weeks, my first impression of this class is that this class is going to have a lot of teambuilding activities, which I really enjoy. I think its really different from last years gym because I took weights and last uears my class didnt have any teambuilding activities and we werent a bonded group as a whole. And thats why Im really glad I took this class, because it gives me the experience to meet new people and reach out of my comfort zone. I hope this experience will allow me to grow as a person and I can find more about myself that I have yet to discovered. So far, there isnt anything I dislike about this but the thing I liked most was when we got into three different groups and did a teambuilding activity because people started to get frustrated and the point of it was to show that life has it frustrations and how you deal with them is what makes you up as a person.

My impression of this class after two weeks is good. So far i love this class and i dont regret choosing it. I like the team building activities, which help you meet new people and have fun. I am very excited for the rest of the year we are all going to spend together!

My first impression of this class was that it was going to be very fun which, has proven to be true. I like that we don't have to change every day. I also liked getting to know more people through the team building activity. I really don't dislike anything about the class.

My first impression of this class is that it will be a lot of fun. I'm excited to get to know the class and learn about each other. So far, I have really liked the team building and it's the best way for us to become a real team. I didn't really like the idea of bringing a journal everyday to class, but this blog is a great way for us write down how we feel! I'm really looking forward to see how we grow as people and as a class throughout the year.

The first two weeks of outdoor adventure have given me the impression that this class is going to be fun and very team oriented. I really enjoy the group challenges and I like that we are given the opportunity to get to know our classmates personally. So far, my favorite activity has been looking at the pictures of Devil's Lake because it was a good example of what our class will be doing next semester. We haven't done anything that I've disliked yet, and I doubt there will be many days where I don't like what we are doing. I think I am going to grow a lot this year through this class and I'll get to meet a lot of new people.

My first impression of this class was that it will be awesome. I really enjoy getting to learn about people in the class. The team building has been an enjoyable way to get to know everyone. Bringing a journal everyday would be annoying, but the blog is a much better way to share ideas. I'm looking forward to a great year.

My first impression was that this class was going to be really fun. From what i've heard, it is a class that you have to take because it is so fun. The team building part was a fun way to get to know other people I also liked watching the pictures of Devil's Lake. It looks like a lot of fun and a little dangerous. My least favorite part are the cardio days. I don't really like to run a lot(especially because my group did not get any 6's) but I do understand why they are necessary.

In the past two weeks of this outdoor adventure, I have realized that this class i more than just climbing rocks. I'm excited to try new things and get to meet a lot of new people on a personal level. My favorite activity so far has been the cardio day. It was a game and work out all in one! I haven't discovered anything i didn't like yet and i don't think I will. This is one of the classes i actually enjoy going to and I hope theres more fun activities to come.

Well, I walked into class with an impression already set by others. I heard it would be lots of fun and we wouldn't have to swim. Really, that's all I needed to hear. But after two weeks I find that it might be a little more challenging than anyone else let on. I really like the idea of rock climbing and all that good stuff. I've never been afraid of heights or anything so for me it sounds pretty fun. But honestly, I've never been a huge fan of "team building". It's rather frustrating really. And of course, cardio. I really have nothing against it, I run outside of school all the time. But it's really in school that can be kind of annoying, getting sweaty and all. But anyways, I'm sure it'll be an awesome year.

my impression of this class is that it's going to be a really fun one. right now not everybody really knows eachother but i can tell that we're all going to become really close. my least favorite part of this class is that activity we had to do when we ran around the track. my favorite part of this class is the team building activites we do.

Well my first impression of this class is that its very different than regular gym. So far i have enjoyed the activities that we as a class have completed. What i least liked was running because i just dont really like it. My most favorite part was getting to know everyone.

My first impression of the class was it's going to be a fun gym but other than that I didn't really go into the class expecting to be doing the things that you've told us we are going to be doing. I like what we have done so far, at times it gets boring because it's the same thing over and over again. I don't really like how we've done the same thing day after day, I'd like it to be different. I have liked getting to know other people and things like that. BYE

My first impression of this class is that it's going to be a highlight of my day. I'm looking forward to going rock climbing at the end of the year, and getting to know everyone in the class. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with all the things hanging in the gymnastics room. I like the team building activities so far, because i feel like it'll help make our class more like a family by the end of the year, and we'll build a lot of trust between each other. So far I don't have anything bad to say about the class, except for the fact that I thought we'd be starting to do more activities during first semester.

My first impression of this class was that it was going to be a great experience getting to learn everything about how the class works. I think it is a great opportunity for us to be able to bond together as a team. I am excited to see what other adventures this class has in store for us. I will probably like getting to the other people in the class well part of this class the most. I think that my least favorite part of this class is going to be the cardio days- not that I am all that opposed to the idea of staying in shape, I just am not the biggest fan of major cardio work during the school day. I'm sorry this is so late, if you have any questions about why you can talk to me tomorrow- rehearsal for the musical went much later than scheduled.

My first impressions of this class were different than what I had initially expected. I had always seen other Outdoor Adv. classes sitting in the gymnastics room, but I never really knew what the objectives of the class were. After two weeks, I have realized that we will need to sincerely trust one another and form relationships with everyone in the class, rather than with a select few friends. I am looking forward to this and I think the team building activities have really been a great way to jump-start this year and get it going!

So far I think this class is pretty fun. I enjoy not having to dress everyday and do "work outs" every day. Team building stuff is great and i think this class is gonna do well this year together

As of now, i think this class will be very interesting. I'v heard a lot about this class from last year, where we go and how we train for it.It's what i expected it to be so far, starting slow, then slowly getting into the whole training portion, which should be really fun.

My first impression of this class was that it would be a great learning experiance. What i look forward to most about this class is getting to know eachother and becoming a better leader and follower. What im looking least forward to is trusting people with my life climbing and other activities.

Sophia Vu said...

During these past few weeks, we've done a lot of name memorizing activities and getting to know eachother. I really enjoy that because I'm not really good at introducing my self or even making new friends from different groups of people. I don't like to share about myself much but hopefully after taking this class, I'll be able to be more open. Something I don't enjoy is trying to guess which room we're gonna be in everyday. We change it some often that I always miss part of the beginning of class cause I can't find everyone.

Gianna Ruffolo said...

During these last two weeks I enjoyed this class. It seems like it is going to be a good year. We have done a lot of name game activites and a lot of working together games. I like that because when we do start doing real out door activities we will already be a team and work better together. I also agree with Sophia, I never know where to go.

Dominique Marisie said...

My first impression of this class was that it would be a very different type of class than i've ever been in before. It is more based on the lessons and messages the activities send to us who participate than the physical aspect. I enjoy getting to know and trust the other people in the class. I've become closer with a good amount of people. The only thing i don't like is that we sit in the circle and listen more than we actually talk about anything important about each other.

My first impression of this class was that it was very interesting. There are plenty of people that I knew and plenty of people I didn't know. The only real thing that I did know when decided to take this class was that it was about rock climbing, and since I like climbing things in general, I figured I would take it. So far it has been kind of a slow start, but it is understandable and I can't wait until later in the year
