Instead of talking about the class and teambuilding this week, lets talk about us as individuals. i want you to tell about the most exciting, fun thing that has ever happened to you or something you accomplished that made you the so proud. Describe the instance and what you felt.

I felt really proud of myself when I saved my first goal in lacrosse. It was the first game of the season, and my first game of being a goalie. I remember the shot, and the feeling of the ball hitting against my padding. The moment I came back up with the ball in my stick, everyone from my team and all of our fans cheered! I was shocked myself, considering it was the first shot and my first save. I felt so accomplished and I felt like I did my job. That first save was the starting point to the multiple saves I then had that game. We eneded up winning our game, and after the game the team came and dog piled on me. As I got on the bus to go home from the game, everyone cheered yet again. The entire game was such an accomplishment and I always think about it when I'm not doing so well during a game. I'll never forge that moment.
The first time I ever felt really proud of myself would probably have to be...I really am not sure. There have been so many exciting things i have done but I don't know if you would describe it as proud. First time i rode a roller coasters, finaly getting my license, when I got my puppy, first time i held my baby cousin. None I can think of that have made me proud.
Hmmmm, there have been quite a few things that I have done in my life but the only thing that comes to my mind right now would be the week I spent in Door County, Wisconsin this past summer. One day, I biked around a national park for three hours straight! I saw a great view of the bay from a cliff and I also climbed up a 75 year old wooden watchtower that went above the trees. That was really fun because of how high it was and because it gave me a sense of accomplishment. Even more fun than that was another tour of another national park by another way of transportation. I rode a segway in a national park that consisted of more cliffs, trees, and also the burial site of an old Indian chief. It was so much fun cruising around on that thing (I would highly recommend it!). To be honest, I felt pretty cool on the segway and I was so fascinated by everything I saw in that park. That's just one fun, exciting thing I've done that comes to my mind.
One of the most exciting things I have done was at my first horse show when I was 11. I won first place in my first horse show! I love horses and it was such an exciting experience that I don't think I will ever forget it. I felt awesome for the next week! Whenever I look at the picture on my wall from that horse show I smile.
Pride in my mind has a negative congtation because of how easily it can turn in to boastfulness and hurt other's feelings so I try to avoid it when I can. As for exciting events, I find that the most exciting things in my life are the myraid of little moments of doing random activities. It also is usually more meaningful because of who I am with (friends/family/etc). The small conversation and daily differences make life intresting even though the are almost always over looked. By finding enjoyment out of mundain things, I can make everyday an exciting one.
I guess one of the most fun things I have ever done was go to California with the Fremd band. I developed two really strong friendships and we were able to experience some awesome things together. Along with performing on the U.S.S Midway and marching through Disneyland at night, we spent all of New Year's Eve roaming aimlessly around Disney. And that's how this year began for me, standing under a million dollar firework display in a crowd of thousands of people with two of my best friends. It's definitely something I'll remember for a long time.
The most exciting moment for me was probably my first time going down to the University of Illinois for the huge marching band competition. We were the last band to perform, it was dark out, and there was a massive crowd cheering us on. When we marched off the field, I thought "that was amazing." It was such an amazing experience I will never forget.
I can't really think of the time I was MOST proud of myself. Certain small things can make me really happy and proud while other more important things that should have that impact on me don't seem to mean that much to me. There's no exact event or task i've completed that has made me feel proud of myself, but I am proud of myself for working through all of the obstacles that have been thrown at me throughout these past few years and that I'm still able to keep my priorities straight and make sure family and school come first.
I feel proud of myself when ever Im able to work in theater. Being able to bulid "the magic" of a show gives me joy. I love working on it and even the problems that come along with it add to the experience. I love taking the empty stage and filling it and turning it into a diffrent time, a far off place or even a diffrent world. The end show is just icing on the cake, when I see get to see people taken from their seats and transported to a diffrent world, if only for a small time, i love being apart of something so much bigger.
My most proud memory would be getting my license. This is one of the very few milestones as a teenager and I feel like I've become more mature because of it. The day I went to go get my license, it was raining and I had a gut feeling that I was going to fail. My dad told me that he trusted me and that I would be fine. At that point I totally calmed down and aced the driving test with no problems. I knew getting my license meant that my parents trust me with the car and letting me go where ever I want to go. I also learned that driving means that you have to be more alert and you are dealing with not only your life but others when you're on the road.
I guess I'm most proud of my self when my grades are good. I'm proud of myself to some degree most everyday and it's usually little things. I also get proud of myself when i win a game or when i do what i'm supposed to do at home and my mom congradulates me. I feel good about myself when others or I recognize the good things that i've done.
I felt proud of myself this weekend when I worked at the haunted house at Brookfield Zoo. I was really nervous about it because I've never done anything like it before and i wasn't sure if I would be convincing or not.
It was 5 hours of non-stop screaming at people, crawling on the ice cold ground, and doing whatever else I needed to do to scare people.
It was very physically challenging and by the end of the night i was worn out.
The fact that i was able to do it and get through the night without giving up made me happy and also my co-workers commented on my victim acting skills which helped a lot.
It was really fun and its something I'll always remember.
The most exciting thing that has even happened was crossing the finish line, for first place at a track meet, for my 8x2 relay (8 people ran 200 yards each). The second place girl was only seconds behind me but I was determined and I felt great knowing I had helped my team win.
my first time behind the wheel was what was most exciting to me. i was finally learning to drive so i can get out of the house. it was a interesting feeling: excited to learn, yet scared of messing up. yet at the same time proud that i am even attempting.
the most exciting thing that has happened to me was when i competed in my first gymnastics meet. I was so nervous to compete because i had no idea what it was going to be like. But when i got out onto the vault runway for my first event i felt awesome. I had worked so hard to get there and now, i finally was. When i had finished my meet i was so proud of myself. My first meet was a success.
Probably the most exciting thing that I'm proud of is winning the district 211 Speech tournament in my event. I remember them calling my name and I had to walk down the bleachers and stand in front of hundreds of people. I never thought that I would have even placed, but I waited as they called 6th place, 5th place, and so on. When it got down to the last two people, another girl and I, it felt like it took years for them to call the 2nd place winner. Once they didn't call my name, I new I had won. I was so happy and excited and it was the first time I ever won first place after a terrible freshman year.
The most exciting thing that has happened to me has probably been my trip down to the United Center this past September. I was down there for my the Blackhawks Training Camp Festival. It was the first time I've ever been there and it was such a wonderful thing to experience. Me and my dad share a love for hockey. It's our "thing". Being able to be ther with him, in the same building with my favorite athletes in the world was an amazing experience. Walking into the rink and seeing the Stanley Cup banners and everything is something I will never forget. I was so overwhelmed with awe and it gave me a bit of a rush. My favorite part of that day was witnessing the anthem live. I'd seen it on TV before, but there in person was so impactful to me. There's such a positive energy going around during the anthem, and I love it so much.
It was truly a day that I'll never forget.
My proudest moment actually happens to be the same as Dana's. Everything I've done, I've always been alright at. Good maybe, at the best. But with speech, being able to stand up there and say I actually got first was a pretty big achievement. At the same tournament, the D211 tournament, I stood up there in front of a crowd of people and had a big, blue, first place medal handed to me. It was a crowning moment in my highschool career. Not only would I call that one of my proudest moments, but it was actually a rather exciting one too. Well, for me anyways.
I go to this skydiving camp every summer to have a good time and learn new stuff. I felt really proud of myself when after one week of constant training i improved a lot, and started competing and joining larger groups of people. Also at the camp i have done my 100th jump, and had a lot of experience. I was very proud of myself when at this number of jumps i was doing much better than people with the same number of jumps.
I felt happy, accomplished and proud of myself.
I felt proud of myself when I went paragliding in Switzerland. I usually am very afraid of those types of dangerous activities, but I somehow did it. Although I did have a panic attack in the beginning, in the end I realized that I had a lot of fun and that it was worth it. I will never forget how it felt to be sailing so high up in the air.
A few years ago, I got in an atv accident because I was going to fast and I crashed. I'm proud of how I handled the stuation, I didn't freak out. I approached it in a calm manner. In the end I realized that situations are better handled with patience and a calm attitude.
I have had many exciting moments in my life, but one of the ones that stands out as being a time I was proud of myself for doing somehthing different was when I went ziplining in Alaska. I was a little scary to look down and realize how high up I was hanging by a cable, but I got a rush of energy that only something wonderful can give you. After we finished all the ziplines I was really proud that I had gotten through without freaking out. It was actually really fun and I enjoyed it quite a lot.
I remember when I came to Fremd as a freshman and thought to myself how badly I wanted to make the badminton team. Although I have always had a passion for sports, all through my life, I have been put down and humiliated because of my small size. I started playing ever since I was able to hold a racquet. It might not have been competitive, and I might not have been the amazing, but it was important to me because I loved it so much. I really felt a sense of accomplishment freshman yr. after getting up the courage to try out, pushing through even when my own parents didn't think I could do it, made the team, and didn't care how good or bad I was. All that really mattered in the end was that I made it through my hard determination because of my true passion, even when some people made it because they have been playing competitively their own lives. There were about 40+ other freshmen that tried out with me, and only about 10 that actually made it, including me. It was one of the best feelings I've ever felt, and gave me a sense of hope and the confidence that I do not always have. At that instant, I realized that being on the team was not about proving myself to others, it was about doing what I like to do because I can do it if I really want to, no matter what others say. Sophomore year I took some lessons this time for my own betterment and practiced with my close friend almost every single weekend. I played some great games with improved skills. I even played a few JV games, but at one of them I hurt my ankle. My doctor said I shouldn't play for at least a few weeks, and I also had too much school work/difficult classes that were hard to keep up with going on to the point where I had to make the hardest/most painful decision to leave the team during the second half of the season. I am proud of myself for dealing with the awfulness I felt about letting the team down and myself, and all the criticism I got from others. I am proud for making the right decision even though the right decision is not always the easy one. And, I am proud that no matter if I try out for the team this year or not, I do not have to lose my passion or stop playing. I still might take lessons or just play with friends because I really love the sport and that is what matters to me.
I have never done anything in my life that has made me super proud of myself. i always strive my hardest at things that make me feel good. but the thing i can most remember was going down to state for my 4x4 track team and we got 8th out of 42 teams. it was a good accomplishment on all of out parts cause we all beat our record timing. i was excited and happy at that moment.
the most exciting thing that i have ver done would either be the times i went to cuba on mission trips or when i went ziplining in hawaii. when i was working in cuba it just gave me this sense of accomplishment and happiness, it made me so much more grateful for what i have, and it was really fun. when i went ziplining in hawaii it was a little nerveracking when i thought about it but once you got to each line excitement overcame any fear i had prior to that moment. the last line we went on was over 300 feet above the ground and i flew over a waterfall and the rainforest in the middle of a sunset. i have never seen or excperienced something more beautiful than that image that is engrained in my head forever.
I think the most fun I've had has occured during a number of instances. One of which is probably at six flags, on the drop to the American Eagle. The rush and feeling of butterflies you get during that one second is great (and I'm kinda an adrenaline junkie). Another would be during either violin or soccer. Violin, because it's fun to express your emotions through music and soccer because I'm a goalie, and during practices (which are more carefree cause there's no pressure of winning or losing)I get to dive through the air to make a save, and the feeling of accomplishment is great with that. I'm proud of violin, probably, because it's gotten to the point where I'm good enough that I don't have to worry about notes but rather I can just play musically (which is also why it is now fun to play and not just tedious), and also I'm proud of my athleticism and adaptability, and by that I mean that I catch onto things quickly or I'm capable. It may seem like strange thing to be proud of but it's kinda something that makes me, me.
One of my most proud moments was when I got my job. Moat people think that it isn't that great of an accomplishment because I work at McDonald's, but i'm so glad I got this job. It makes me feel responsible, by getting this job, i'll get further in life, just by a small step. Also another time was this week when I wrote a short story for my english class. I personally thought it was really good, and I thought it was creative and well written. When my mom read the story she said it was "absolutely amazing". That made me feel really proud and accomplished, like I could have some kind of future in writing.
The time I felt proud of myself more than ever was when I made the top IMEA jazz band this October. It is always a nice feeling to get recognition for putting in work. I am very proud of myself and whenever I feel bad about something I just remind myself of what I have accomplished.

I admit i'm really not the best at sports, so anytime I scored a goal I was always really proud of myself. Before high school I played soccer for like six years and during that time I only scored three goals. Each time was special because it was a rare occurrence and it meant that I was really on my game that day.
I was really proud of myself at my gymnastics meet last saturday. I stuck all of my routines and the feeling of competing everything to the best of my ability was incredible. My team did so well overall and I could not have been more proud. I was overwhelmed with happiness and my teammates were as well. Gymnastics has given me so many proud and unforgetable moments. The feeling of saluting a judge after I hit my routine is something I will always remember
