I had a wonderful dining arrangement with Lopez. Other than learning that she likes cheese fries, nuggets, and plays the violin, she would want to live in a giant hamster tunnel on a deserted island. Our conversations jumped from raw lettuce eating to rabbits to the requirement of clothing. It was swell...I am not sure if she was out of my comfort zone but I have never had lunch with her before.
I went to dairy queen with gwen and i leraned alot about her. Something that i thought was really interesting was that over the summer she had donated her hair. At the beginning of the year this would have been out of my comfort zone i just met gwen this year probably thanks to sitting next to her in the attendance circle.
I went to dairy queen with Michelle this past weekend. Something I found interesting about her was that she has been doing flags since 5th grade. At the start of the school year I didn't really know her but after sitting next to her in gym I have learned a lot about her.
I had an excellent lunch date with Alex Ciesla. We went to the same elementary school for a few years, but then became disconnected for a while so it was nice to formally catch up. Having lunch with her might not have been outside my comfort zone, but it was sure nice to catch up. I learned the reasons why Alex's biggest fear was learning that she had a life thratening disease. We talked about this just after Brian Larsen passed away, so that's how the topic came up. It was nice to let out some feelings about this sad subject to Alex and also to learn the reasons why Alex is the way she is. Of course there was some laughing and joking around too, but the biggest thing I got out of it was definitely reconnecting with Alex in such a personal way.
I had my lunch date with Lindsey, although i knew who she was before, i never really got to know her so this lunch was really interesting. I learned she has a younger brother, her favorite museam is the Feild museam, and that she wants to be a piolet when she grows up. It was really fun getting to know her better.
I had two lunch dates! My first was with Emily Pinderski in the cafeteria. I learned that her favorite food is her grandma's delicious homemade pasta. Emily is an awesome person and really fun to talk to! She's not necessarily outside my comfort circle, though. I also had lunch with Stephanie Gallo, which was really cool. We talked about television. I learned that she loves tv, her favorite show is Scrubs, and she wishes she was a character on it. Stephanie is always hilarious, and I would definitely have lunch with her again! Same goes with Emily!! It was really nice to reconnect with some friends from elementary school
I had a really good chat with Kathryn Risher. I learned a lot more about some interesting parts of her life I didn't know about before. I found out that we have both gone ziplining before which was something I never knew we had in common! I also learned that she loves to play guitar which I think is great because I cannot seem to get my fingers to cooperate when I try to do that. We also talked about places we have traveled to and she told me she's been to Cuba multiple times. I found that very interesting because I cannot think of anyone else I know who has been there. I've had one other class with Woo(Kathryn)and am in showchoir with her so I cannot say she is really out of my comfort zone, although I do know others in our gym class better than her. I've really enjoyed getting to know her better this year!
i had a good sit down chat with Valerie Pizzato. She is out of my comfort zone in a different way than anyone else in class. i've had classes with Val before so we were in school friends, but we never really hung out outside of school except for show choir. I learned several really interesting things about Val when we talked. she told me she used to play the tuba which envisioning her doing that makes me laugh and i give her mad props because i don't think i would be so great at that. she also told me shes gone to Italy and England with someone from her family each time. and i am SO jealous of that because my aunt lives in England and i am dying to go visit her there. i also found out shes been zipling which i have too. and the best part was we both went ziplining on America's islands. i went in Hawaii and she went in Alaska. Overall, it was super fun to get to know Val a little bit better, some of the things she told me about herself i never would have guessed!
I had my lunch date with Maggie a few days ago. It was nice to get to know her.She is really chill and nice. I found out she walks to school, has an older brother, is in set crew and meets all the requirement classes to graduate. I am not sure if she is out of my comfort zone though.
I had an awesome lunch date with Alex Ciesla at Panera, which was really fun because I haven't really gotten to spend time with Alex since second grade, when we used to share a seat on the bus. We would always talk about the TV show Seventh Heaven, which sparked our conversation about TV shows from our childhood, such as Boy Meets World and Even Stevens. We also talked about her sister, who recently had a baby! She showed me a picture and told me how fun it is to be an aunt. I would say that Alex probably wasn't outside of my comfort zone because I did know her before this year, but we've never actually seen each other outside of school. It was fun to reconnect with her and we had a great lunch!
I had lunch with Sanjana. I've known her since freshman year. We had Spanish together and we became friends. We had a short chat because there wasn't much time but I learned that she has a younger brother, she likes to read, and she works at Kumon. I wasn't out of my comfort zone while talking with Sanjana.
I had lunch with Julija at Chipolte, and I learned more about where she comes from. She told me all about how different things are there, and how she gets most of her clothes there. I also found out that she has gone skydiving many, many times and she acts like it's nothing. I enjoyed getting a chance to talk with Julija because she is a wonderful and amazing person.
I had a recent chat with Nicole. I've known her since freshman year so it was not out of my comfort zone. She loves to read books and likes any type of music and movies. She is very friendly and it was nice to have a short sitdown with her.
I had a lunch date with Dom the other day. It was nice to just go somewhere and be able to talk. I found out alot about her past that i did not know. She has lived here growing up, and has an older sister. She doesnt like being around people but is yet very social. If she could she would be locked up in a cave for days as long as she had music to listen to. I realized she has a very strong personality but doesnt like to cause inconvenience to other so she just takes herself out of the situation alot of times. She was not out of my comfort zone.
I had a great lunch with Shannon Lemajeur! I do already know her pretty well because we always see each other at gymnastics and over the years she has become one of my best friends. A new fact i learrned about her was that she has traveled to almost every place in the carribean! I'm very jealous at this fact because who wouldn't want to travel the Carribean?! She also moved this past year to a new house in Inverness. She loves it there, but also misses her old house on occasion.
I had an awesome lunch date with Anna Johnson! Anna is one of my really good friends and I've known her since freshman year. I met her through gymnastics and we have been super close ever since. Anna LOVES Disney and she has gone there multiple times with her family. She plans to work there some day in the future. Also, Anna enjoys the show Dr. Who. She is the only person I know that watches that show and I had never heard of it until she told me about it. Along with the show Dr. Who, Anna enjoys watching movies. She is really good at reciting movie lines. Another thing I learned about her is that we both love going to Costco :) She enjoys running errands with her mom and sometimes her sisters as well. Also, Anna is on the varsity team track and gymnastics team. She is an amazing athlete and this year will be her second year on the track team. Overall, Anna is very outgoing and optimistic and I enjoyed my lunch date with her!
I had quite an interesting breakfast with David. I learned that he enjoys a nice hot cup of tea everyday in the morning, and that his parents own a Chinese restaurant. He wasn't exactly out of my comfort zone, but I had never had breakfast with him before. Overall it was a nice time.
i had a nice breakfast with Ian. i learned the he is the type that really enjoys playing an instrument. he told me that he often uses his lunch period to practice. this wasn't out of my comfort zone as we were friends before this, but it was still a pleasant experience.
I had lunch with Kailee at Chipotle. I ve known Kailee before, but i was glad to get to know her better and i had a good time on our lunch date. New things I found out about her were she loves playing lacrosse, she is a goalie on fremd lacrosse team and she also has an adhd. Im excited to spend the rest of the year in gym class with her,and get to know her more!
I had lunch with Abbey and we just kind of discussed her life before she moved to Palatine freshman year. She used to live with her Dad and Step mom and Step siblings in Mchenry. She is very close with her sister and mom. Abbey is a very straightforward person and music is her escape from most situations that may bother her. She is not out of my comfort group.
I had lunch a while ago with Katherine Kokkinias. It was quite a good experience, with a tablecloth and everything. I learned that if she were on a desert island and she could only have 3 things, aside from a treehouse she (and I as well) would want a guy there to do all the work and cooking and stuff. We also talked about how lettuce is bad for rabbits, and other interesting stuff too. I'm not sure if she's out of my comfort zone, but I never really talk to her outside of class so it was a good experience.
For the Group Interaction I had lunch with Sally and Sophia. Seeing as I met them both this year, we had a lot to learn about each other. Sophia and Sally are both extremly sweet people and we all had a laugh at the fact that we were in the same gym last year together but hardly talked. The group lunch was a bit out of my comfort zone only because I'd never hung out with either of them before. Overall it was a benificial expirence.
For the lunch date, I went with Liz and Sophia. I met Liz this year in gym and I've started to talk to her a lot more but we've never seen each other outside of school. And Sophia, I went to junior high with her and we were friends but grew apart after high school and started talking again this year. Going out to lunch with them was somewhat out of my comfort zone because I never see them outside of school and we don't normally talk outside either. However, having this experience was really joyful for me because I've got to see a different side of them, and it was really nice seeing them outside of school, and in a different environment.
