I am motivated by my family, my friends, and by own self to do better. It sounds very typical, but it's a true statement. For example, the reasons I strive to do better academically is partially because I enjoy learning things, another part for my future sucess, and for my parents, because I know it means a lot to them. But that's just one of the many things that I care about in my life, and I guess I would argue that this question is too broad. For some things, I am 100% internally motivated, some things I am 100% externally motivated, and other things are 50/50. I think as long as you're being motivated to do something in life, it's a good thing either way.
I believe that there are several internal as well as external factors that motivate me to succeed and do better for things in life. I guess it mainly depends on which thing specifically you look at in my life, but one thing that has changed over the years is that I am doing things more and more through internal motivation. At first, a lot had to do with pleasing my parents or teachers. But now, many things such as succeeding in school or taking away something from life lessons have a lot to do with me getting personal satisfaction that yes, I am capable of overcoming obstacles and learning from mistakes through the most difficult of situations. Other external factors may include family, friends, and so forth.
I feel like im motivated internally and externally. When I play volleyball (or any sport), I always try to make myself better. It's just how I am. I'm always looking for ways to make myself better. But in games when my team makes a great play and the crowd cheers, it makes me feel good. I definately do not play for the crowd though. After playing a really tough game, no matter the outcome, I feel accomplished. In school I feel internally and externally motivated as well. I always try to do the best I can and push myself to do well but my parents also push me to do well.
I guess I'm motivated by my own life values. seeing as though i don't see my parents a whole lot, its up to me to decide which path i need to go down. Positive thoughts and keeping my chin up are all i really need to do to be motivated. Internal motivation, i strive to complete the tasks necessary to succeed, whether it be team building, working in class, or doing anything that involves a task that needs to be complete. there are however external motives, other people count on me to complete my portion of the task. Friends and family are all i really need to really be motivated, the rest is up to me.
something that motivates me to do better is making my parents happy. i like to hear them say i did good at something or that they are proud of me. that is an internal feeling to me cause that doesnt do anything for me externally.
What motivates me is my family and friends. whenever someone from my family or even one of my friends says they are proud of me. when someone says they are proud of me, it gives me a sense of pride and makes me want to continue to do well. whenever i do well on a test my parents will say how proud of me they are, and i feel like i have accomplished something. it feels internal and external to me.
My brother motivates me. I want to be a good example for him. I feel this is internal.
Being a good person and striving for that "perfection" is my main motivation in my life. I keep this close because reguardless of the situation in the end this is the standard I hold myself to. When I die, I want to say that I did my very best to be a genuine person. This is my internal motivator yet I am aware that I am persuaded by external forces as well. Peer pressure and reactions from other people sometimes can cause me to stray from doing what I normally would. Other exernal forces include my need for basic neccessities ie. food, water, shelter, SLEEP.Some of these needs cause my behavior to change.
I am motivated the most by mom and my accomplishments in life. If you do good it makes you move forward and accomplish more. It also make my mom happy and proud of me. I dont want to let her down.
it is probably both, internal and external.
I think one of the only thing that motivates me is music. I truly do not care about anything except music anymore. The only reason I ever try in school is because i remind myself I need to get into college to study music. What motivates me to become a better musician or more importantly a person? I'm not quite sure, all I know is that I love it and no matter what happens I will always play music. I believe the only valid source of motivation is from within, if you don't want to do anything, you will never do it genuinely, so why even bother faking something? DO what you love and love what you do.

I am motivated by both my close friends and my brother. My brother is 4 years younger than me, and always know he's looking up on me, so I want to be a good role model for him. I feel this as an internal motivation.
One of the main things that motivates me is my family. they make me want to strive harder to accomplish my goals because I know that in the end it will make both me and them happy. Although it may seem that sometimes I do things at first just to please my family, I later realize that I also enjoy the things that I am doing. I don't really know if it's an external or internal motivation, but I feel that it is a little bit of both.
I would say i'm internally motivated all the time. I do things to make myself happy. If something bothers me, I'll change it. If something makes me happy, I'll keep doing it, and improve in it. I put myself in other people's shoes a lot, and if I see that other people are bothered by something, it usually bothers me, because I know what they're going through, so I'll try to help make whatever it is that's bothering them, better. I wouldn't say that's external motivation though, because i'm doing it to please myself, so I feel like a good and worthy person, not just to make them happy. I'm pretty reliant on myself, so I know what I want, and that in itself motivated me.
I would say I am motivated by my own self. i wish to improve my self so that i may succeed in my life. but i am also motivated by a little sibling rivalry. sometimes i get a feeling of accomplishment by doing better than my brother in some areas. i would say i am both motivated internally and externally.
Some factors that have motivated me throughout my life include my family, my friends, and my teammates and coaches who are practically family to me. I have also always had this internal drive to do better for myself. It's what makes me work hard in school and at practice. For example, my parents are proud of me no matter how I compete at a gymnastics meet, but I try my best to hit my routines because I know I will not feel fully accomplished if I don't. I put in so much time, effort, sweat, and tears in at practice that I really try to do my best to get the result that I want. I think I have a mixture of internal and external motivators that combines into a good blend to get to strive for the very bst I can offer at any given time. As long as a person is motivated by something to achieve a goal, then they will do their best to achieve it.
I have several motivations being success, self-improvement, family, friends, music, etc. In my life, I want to be successful and achieve a feeling of self-fulfillment, while making an impression on other's lives as well. My music motivates me to keep going, it's almost a comfort-system. No matter how many things could be going wrong in my life, I have my music to go back to every time. Along the same lines, my family and friends motivate me because I want to make them happy and have good relationships as well.
My internal motivation would be my desire to be the best person I can, because I do alot of the things that I do in order to make myself a better person. I'd say that my external motivations are music, family, and friends.
I'd say even though i dont have many role models, my family, mainly my siblings, and of cource my self have influenced me. I want to be my best and do my best in everything i do, so thats an internal motivation. My sibling though, have taught me alot, mainly my brother, james because of our closeness in age. My older siblings, jake and julia, i can look up to because they have been through everything and theyve had time to look back, learn and teach. I can identify with them and they always countine to motivate me to do my best. they are my external motivations.
I think I'm motivated by many things in my life. One thing would probably be my need to get better at anything I do. I feel that I'm always trying to improve something like test scores or my speech. Also, another thing that motivates me is my family. I want to do my best for them because they have given me so much. My need to get better is an internal motivation, and my motivation from my family is an external motivation.
I would say I am more of an internally motivated person. School, theatre and every other major aspect of my life are things that I push myself in. At one point I kept up my work (especially school related) for my parents, but now I do it for myself because I love to learn. I also am very invested in doing everything the best I can so that it can help me later in life. This comes from what I want to do. In general, I do what I consider best. Although I take other people's input and seriously consider it, ultimately, I make my own decisions. I think what pushes me to do better is my personal drive to be the best I possibly can be. I will acknowledge that there are other factors involved that are more external in nature (college etc) but I believe the majority of my motivation is internal.
Personally, I find that I am motivated both internally and externally. I'm motivated by my family in two different ways. I'm motived by my parents to make them proud, because it means a lot. On the other hand, there's a lot of my family I'm motivated to not be like. In this case, becoming the opposite of them is a good motivator. For certain things I am internally motivated, maybe because I feel I need to prove something to myself. I suppose it really all depends on the situation, but I would not peg myself to go completely either way. There has to be some sort of balance between the two.
what motivates me are my friends family & myself. i have seen so many people who arn't motivated by anyone and the effects and where they are in there life & it makes me not want to go down that path & actually try. i believe this is internal & external
I think I am motivated internally by myself. I always think about the future and I try to do whats best for me. I also do what I believe is right and my personal values. Everyone is a dreamer in some way but that dream is what keeps me going.
I feel I am internally motivated by friends, family, and myself. I feel proud of myself when I accomplish something important to me. It also makes me proud when my family and friends tell me they are proud of me.
As everyone else is, I am both internally and externally motivated. In school, I am internally motivated to do well and to challenge myself in classes. I put pressure on myself to get good grades, and I have never felt as though my parents have had a big part in this because they trust that I am already motivating myself to achieve the best i possibly can. In gymnastics, I have both types of motivation factoring in. I push myself to work hard at practice every day, but I am also pushed by my coaches and teammates, which is an example of an external motivator. In competitions, the other teams can often motivate me to try even harder, and also the pressure to do well for my team motivates me, which is another instance where an external motivator is more prevalent.
Im motivated by my own morals by what i personally believe and also by my family and the influences they have had on me help shape what influences me. It totally depends on the situation for whether or not i am being motivated internally or externally.
I'm really not motivated by much, not even grades. Usually i'm just motivated by not wanting to fail, when I know I can do better. Also there's the pressures of mot wanting to let down parents and pressure of society to do well, but in general I do what I want and make sure it's good enough for me. I'm a lazy person, and have always had a slight problem with motivation, at least work-related. I'm internally motivated to do what I want and like to do, but I'm externally motivated by the outside pressures, I guess. I'm also motivated when I have to do something for someone other than myself, because I like helping/pleasing people.
At times I am not quite sure what motivates me. When I am doing things that I enjoy I am internally motivated, always wanting to better myself. However, I also know that sometimes I only do things because I feel like they are expected of me. I don't know if I would necessarily like to call that my motivation because it is more like some sort of external pressure. I feel like this need (to live up to people's expectations and standards) is what drives me to strive for success.
I believe I am internally motivated over externally. If I don't want to do something, regardless of the situation, I'm not going to do it. External factors just don't have as much of an effect over me as the internal factors. I have to want to learn something to actually begin paying attention or learning and I have to want to excel at something for it to even be a possibility. In this class I know every activity has a point so I am internally motivated to complete the task with the team.
I feel i have both internal and external motivations. I am in vikettes, that is almost year round. Internaly i do it because it keeps me busy and i get to hang out with a close group of friends. Externaly i do not think i would still do it unless we won so much, it is a lot of money and takes up more time than i really like. If i didnt get something out of it i do not think i would have done it another year.
I am motivated by my accomplishments and by my friends and family. I want to be the best I can be, whether it be in sports, academics, or being an overall good person. This motivation is internal because I rely solely on myself. The encouragement and motivation I recieve from my friends and family in external.
The things that motivate me the most are definitely my family and my friends. My parents support me and encourage me to give 100% effort at all times. They make sure I have my priorities straight and are always willing to help me. My friends also motivate me a lot to be successful. Not so much peer pressure, just the encouragement and the extra push they give me when I'm struggling.
